PM-KISAN e-KYC Deadline Today: What You Need to Know
All PM-KISAN beneficiaries nationwide must complete e-KYC by today, January 31, 2024, to avoid missing the 16th installment.
The Rajasthan government has announced a crucial deadline for farmers participating in the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana. According to the directive, all farmers and beneficiaries must complete their e-Know Your Customer (e-KYC) process by January 31, 2024. This initiative extends beyond Rajasthan and applies nationwide to all PM-KISAN beneficiaries.
PM-KISAN provides an annual benefit of ₹6,000 to landholding farmers' families and the 16th instalment is expected between February and March 2024.
Importance of e-KYC Compliance
Failure to meet this deadline may result in the termination of eligibility and the suspension of the 16th installment payment under the PM-KISAN scheme.
This measure is part of the government's efforts to smoothen the disbursement process, ensuring that benefits reach the intended recipients efficiently and accurately.
The Agriculture Department emphasizes the need for farmers who have not completed Aadhaar seeding and land verification to do so promptly. Non-compliance with these prerequisites by the stipulated deadline may render farmers ineligible for upcoming installments.
Mandatory e-KYC Implementation
The government made e-KYC mandatory for eligibility in December 2022, extending the deadline to accommodate eligible farmers.
There are three modes of e-KYC available to PM-KISAN beneficiaries, including OTP-based e-KYC on the PM-KISAN portal and mobile app, biometric-based e-KYC at Common Service Centres (CSCs) and State Seva Kendra, and face authentication-based e-KYC on the PM-KISAN mobile app.

The 15th installment, released on November 15, 2023, provided an annual financial benefit of ₹6,000 to landholding farmers' families in three equal installments of ₹2,000 each.
PM-KISAN Scheme
PM-KISAN is a central sector scheme offering income support to all landholding farmers' families across the country.
