Progressive Indian farmers can connect with experts, vendors, organized buyers, and each other on the community platform known as Krishi Network. Crop disease detection, mandi price visibility, merchant visibility, question and answer forums, and weather forecasting are some of the productivity tools that farmers use.
The initiative, which goes by the name "Facebook for Farmer," has emerged as the go-to place for the agricultural community to get the information they require and connect with various people working in the same field.
Ashish Mishra and Siddhant Bhomia, who both attended IIT Kharagpur, are the founders of "Krishi Network." They both came from rural backgrounds, and they based the platform on their individual experiences.
Increasing Accessibility to Knowledge
In India, several agricultural startups deal with issues like capital provision, input selling, and output selling, among many others. But "Krishi Network" is notable for a good reason.
It offers prompt, accurate responses to any technical questions a farmer might have in the field of agriculture. They’ve developed the expert-led advisory, answers delivered within 15 minutes, through the onboarding of 8000+ expert farmers who actively contribute to the platform and assist other farmers.

The app is created to make it easier for farmers to access information regarding farming operations, like the most recent R&D, weather and market updates, services offered, government programmes, and advisories for various Agro-climatic zones, all under one roof.
An Inclusive Opportunity for Farmers
For years, agriculture has been a generational thing in India. Many farmers adhere fervently to the wisdom that has been passed down to them from their ancestors.
The "Krishi Network" has successfully developed a peer group over time to support one another. Farmers have benefited greatly from their seed selection and plant protection interventions as their income has increased by 15%. Additionally, it encourages effective two-way communication between the various agricultural community stakeholders.
The founders of the startup believe they have a promising future. They have concentrated on creating a platform that can serve as the go-to location for farming activities. Currently, they are working to establish a platform where forward-thinking farmers guide the way and a location where entrepreneurs and brands can interact directly with the farmers.
