1. Pruner Shears

Pruner Shear is also called hand pruner or secateurs which is mainly used to prune the unwanted growing thick branches of 2 cm from herbs or trees. They are mainly made up of sharp blades passing by a sharp-edged flat surface similar to a scissor. Anvil Pruners are suitable for dead plants, Bypass Pruners are suitable for living plants, and green woods have a cutting capacity of 1- 1½ inches. Therefore the blades must be sharpened regularly to prevent any damage to the fragile portions of herbs or trees.

2. Garden Fork

A garden fork is mainly used to turn over the soil without hampering the quality. Usually, it goes deep inside and loosens the soil without disturbing the texture. It can be used to turn the mulch or composting piles thus providing proper aeration and increasing soil fertility. A garden fork consists of thin and long spikes. Usually, a  square tine is preferred over a flat tine because when they hit the rock or root they can easily bend and are more flexible.

3. Hand Trowel

Hand Trowel is a very important element to transplant the bedding plants, digging small holes, rooting the weeds, and performing similar tasks. Usually, a broad blade should be used to perform these tasks and a handle should be able to fit in the hands. Trowels with stainless steel heads are usually more durable and can go over a long run. Light weight is preferred.

4. Rake

Usually, a flexible rake should be used for cleaning the debris or shifting the extra dead piles of leaves or stacks of dead herbs or shrubs. Usually, they are available with adjustable knobs which can reach narrow areas and come in a wide variety and sizes. Steel tines are preferable as they are stronger and can perform their work in any area from rough surfaces to smooth areas. The rake head can easily adjust and expand to a height of 7-22 inches taking less space for storage.
