Location

Cucumbers need a warm and sunny location to grow. 

Temperature

The ideal temperature for hydroponic cucumbers ranges from 21 to 29°C. If the temperature drops below 16°C, the plants will stop growing.

Light

Cucumbers need at least 12 to 16 hours of sunlight per day, either directly or indirectly. If they are preferred to growing indoors they will require low light conditions.

Humidity

Cucumbers prefer a humidity level of 60-70%. If the humidity is too low, the leaves will wilt. Lower humidity may result in wilt leaves and too high humidity may result in pests attack.

Nutrients

Cucumbers are heavy feeders and need a nutrient-rich solution. The pH ranges from 5.5 to 6.5. One can use a commercial hydroponic nutrient solution for quick results.

Harvesting Management

Cucumber matures within 50 to 70 days. Usually, cucumbers are harvested when they acquire a length of 4 to 8 inches. 

Pest Management

Cucumbers are susceptible to several pests, including aphids, whiteflies, and cucumber beetles. This can be controlled by applying neem oil, or other organic pesticides.
