Barwani, an agri-centric region of Madhya Pradesh, recently witnessed a technological revolution in the form of Farmkart, a new generation startup that is transforming the Indian agriculture sector.

Atul Patidar, CEO of Farmkart, says of the services, "Farmkart, in broader terms, is changing the way others look at agriculture." Nobody could have predicted the potential of a user experience built around farmers and agriculture. We brought innovation to where it was most needed. We as a team are growing every day, improving our ideas, and considering how we can make a difference in the lives of farmers."

The Digital Platform of Farmkart

All of Farmkart's technological solutions adhere to a single simple rule: "Everyone on the planet knows how to count money." Every farmer, whether educated or not, can easily obtain the most affordable agricultural products and services from the comfort of their own home or farm.

Using Farmkart's digital platform is beneficial to farmers. In addition, the platform gives farmers in rural areas access to world-class quality agriculture products at reasonable prices delivered to their door in 36 hours with just one click.

The Unique Identification Code (UIC)

Farmkart has built a deep learning network that classifies and catalogs products based on a farmer's profile and puts a smart personalized online shopping experience in the hands of each user. The UIC card not only encrypts the farmers' identities, but also integrates the identity of their farm - such as the type of soil, crops, and products used - with the digital platform.

The advanced data analytics provided by Farmkart then transforms the farming experience by providing farmers with their digital agronomist. They can also shop and pay for their orders with a single click of a button thanks to Farmkart's Unique Identification Code (UIC).

User to User Delivery

Farmkart's User to User Delivery model is an innovative community-driven delivery model that allows the community to come forward and be a part of the impact that Farmkart is attempting to make on agriculture.

By completing a simple registration and identification process, one can easily carry out his or her daily activities while also participating in the U2U delivery process. An initiative that has been designed to use the fewest resources for execution, save money on transportation, and increase accessibility while promoting local employment.

Agriculture Consulting and Service Centers

Agriculture also receives personalized agriculture consulting services through Farmkart Agri-Nidan, which provides farmers with end-to-end solutions based on soil testing results, land quality, cropping patterns, and historical regional data analysis.

Furthermore, Farmkart service centers offer low-cost repairs and maintenance with quick turnaround times, ensuring minimal disruption in farming operations.

Making Agricultural Inputs Affordable and Accessible

According to Atul, the products available for purchase by farmers are obtained through strategic partnerships with both global and domestic agri-brands. Farmers can also rent agricultural equipment ranging from a sickle to a cultivator through Farmkart's rent4farm services from certified suppliers.

The prices of the products differ according to the seller or supplier. Farmers, according to the startup, may be able to rent a cultivator (a machine used for soil preparation) for Rs 400 per hour through Farmkart, which would otherwise cost Rs 750-800 per hour.

"We created a community-based delivery system to address last-mile delivery issues in rural areas." "We want to make agri-inputs affordable and accessible to farmers through Farmkart's technology solutions," Atul says.

He claims that Farmkart can deliver products to rural and remote areas, including areas not yet serviced by India's e-commerce giants, within 24-36 hours.
