A Drone Can be owned by Multiple Owners
With all the great benefits of drones in agriculture, owning a drone for Indian farmers is still very difficult, because of the deprived economical conditions, It may cost between Rs. 8 to 10 lakh.
To promote farm mechanization Indian govt has offered a number of subsidiaries like “Kisan Drone” where a farmer can get up to 70% subsidy of drones cost but in some conditions, the subsidy amount isn’t sufficient to fulfill the cost and, they have to opt the loan or just have to avoid buying it.
For that, we have a solution
A Community or a small group of farmers can come together to purchase a drone on combined ownership, as it can be owned by multiple users. Furthermore, the pilot of the drone has to be trained and licensed from the ‘drone pilot program’ initiated by the GOI.
What if you don’t have the license but you own combined ownership?
According to govt drone rules, you need a license to use drones “NO WORRIES” you can simply find someone who owns the license and hire them on daily wages, It will help to improve employment in the agricultural sector too.
How Can I get the License?
The training period is brief — only 2–3 months. However, the fee can range between 30,000 and 1 lakh. As more educational institutions begin to offer drone pilot courses. According to government regulations, an aspirant must be trained in drone flying at a DGCA-approved drone training institute in India before being registered as a remote pilot. To fly drones in the country, a pilot must have a ‘Pilot Identification Number’ and an ‘Unmanned Aircraft Operator Permit.’
Does overuse cause any damage to the drone?
No overuse can cause any damage to a drone, as it has a three-year lifespan, excessive use has little impact on their conditions. Even after completing three years only requires a few parts to be changed, you can restart the drone by replacing the batteries and motors, and the drone is all set to be back on the farm.
