How to become a Drone Pilot?
Today's agricultural output is greatly aided by drones thanks to their real-time, three-dimensional, and incredibly accurate assessments that gauge the general health of the soil, identify planting patterns and eventually deliver vital information for the best irrigation and nitrogen requirements.
The drone sector is being supported by the Indian government, and it is predicted that it would generate about one lakh jobs over the next several years. At the "Bharat Drone Mahotsav 2022" in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi declared that "India will be a drone center by 2030."
The government also loosened restrictions and eliminated onerous requirements for drone use. However, aspirants must obtain a certificate from a facility recognized by the aviation regulator, the DGCA, to become a professional drone pilot in India.
India's Requirements for Piloting Drones
Additionally, there aren't many prerequisites for taking this course. According to Scindia, a graduate of the 12th grade (or an equivalent upper secondary school) may enroll in a drone pilot training program. The maximum age to obtain this certificate and engage in commercial activity is set at 65.
According to DGCA norms, candidates must pass a medical examination and a background check conducted by the relevant government body.

More Drone Schools Equate to Lower Fee Costs
The median pay may reach 30,000, and the training period is short—at just 2-3 months. The cost can be anywhere between 30,000 and 1 lakh, though. As more institutions start to offer drone pilot courses, Scindia predicted that this pricing will also decrease over the next months.
Therefore, the DGCA will only certify drone schools going forward, and the drone school in question will be the one to provide pilot certifications. We have entirely done away with bureaucracy in this process," he declared.
According to Chirag Sharma, CEO of Delhi-based Drone Destination, the nation will have at least 150 drone pilot training facilities by 2025.
To meet the specific demands of the ecosystem and provide employment and entrepreneurship possibilities to more than one lakh people needed by our business by 2025, Sharma added, "We aim to cooperate with universities, agricultural institutes, and police academies."
