Tractor front tires play an essential role in performing multiple farm activities. Without a front tire, a tractor won't be able to take tighter turns. In 2 WD tractors, the front steer tires can load the front axle and produce the lateral force to steer the tractor on farms or soil. Tractor front tires are designed in such a way that it generates a deep rib pattern performed on the soil.
Different Types of Rib Options
Single Rib – This tire design is intended for tractors predominantly operating in loose or wet or muddy soil conditions. Its tall single rib generates a strong steering force and prevents mud accumulation in grooves.
Three Rib – This tread pattern suits tractors operating in a combination of loose soils and paved surfaces. It is suitable for 2WD tractors without front-end loaders. The higher center rib facilitates steering in loose soil, while the outer ribs assist in load-bearing on paved surfaces.

Four Rib – The four ribs deliver steering force on various terrains, including soils and paved surfaces. The consistent rib height ensures an even distribution of load on hard surfaces, leading to extended tire lifespan.
Shallow Five Ribs – This tire design caters to tractors and backhoes primarily operating on paved surfaces, accompanied by a front-end loader. Operating on paved surfaces demands less rib height for steering force, and the presence of multiple ribs allows for better load distribution.
