Best Android Apps for Farmers Launched by Narendra Modi

Kisan Suvidha

The app also gives farmers information on new crop varieties created by the Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR), resource-saving farming techniques, and farm equipment, and its adoption will help farmers earn more money.

MKisan Application

All central and state government organizations in the agricultural and related sectors are empowered to provide information or services to farmers regarding agricultural practices through the SMS portal known as mKisan, which was created by the Hon. President of India specifically for farmers. Farmers and other stakeholders can now receive web-based services on their mobile without having access to the internet thanks to value-added services offered by mKisan's USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data), IVRS (Interactive Voice Response System), and Pull SMS.

Shetkari Masik Android App

The Shetkari magazine Android app has a very straightforward user interface and requires mobile data or Wi-Fi in order to sign up and download the issues. The magazine can be read without an internet connection once it has been downloaded. A user must first finish a one-time installation by entering information like their name, mobile number, email address, district, block, and village. Only the Name and Mobile fields must be filled out. The user can also say whether they want to subscribe to the print version of the magazine. If a user selects "Yes," it is intended to create a system in which they can register online and pay their fees using the GRAS online payment system.

Crop Insurance Android App

To calculate the insurance premium for notified crops based on the area, the amount of coverage, and the loan amount in the case of a loanee farmer, download the crop insurance mobile app. Additionally, information on the normal sum insured extended sum insured, premium details, and subsidy information for any notified crop in any notified area can be obtained using the app.
