Proper maintenance and care of an implement extend its life and gives maximum efficiency in the field. The following are a few important tips to be observed:
- All the installed washers should be soaked in oil or water before use.
- Before starting the task, the ends of the spray nozzle should be unscrewed
and cleaned.
- When spraying ends, it should be operated for some time with clean water
to remove sediments from the pressure vessel and the discharge tube.
- To keep the sprayers serviceable, they should be thoroughly cleaned regularly.
- In power sprayers, special attention is required like lubricating oil of the engine
should be changed as per the manual.
- Packing should not be disturbed until a leak is observed.
- The spray pump should not be operated at more than recommended pressure.
- The oil level in the engine pump should be checked and all grease points should
be greased once a day.
- The recommended or essential oils and fuels should always be used in the engine.
- The Spray nozzle and spray gun should be thoroughly cleaned after use. It can
be done by blowing through it or by using a fine bristle.
