Easy Guide to Grow Beetroot from Seed to Harvest

By following these simple steps one can successfully grow beetroot in containers:-

Select Well-Drained Pots or Container- Select a container with drainage holes. The ideal depth of the container should be 10 to 12 inches. Pots should have a minimum of two to three drainage holes to maintain the water level of the soil.

Prepare Soil- Fill the pot with a well-draining potting mix or a mixture of compost. Soil pH should be 6.5 to 7. Ensure that soil should consist of a nutrient mix, free from pebbles and stones.

Temperature- Beetroot grows in a temperature range from 10 to 29 Degrees Celsius. Provide aeration for healthy growth. To obtain healthy beetroots provide a sufficient amount of sunlight.

Plant Spacing- The best time to plant beetroot is during spring. They can easily be planted in summer when the temperature reaches around 29 Degrees Celsius. Plant seeds and maintain 3 inches distance. To be more precise 12-inch rectangular container can be used to grow 4 to 5 plants.
