2WD Tractor Subsidy Highlights:

Central Government's Sub Mission on Agricultural Mechanization (SMAM) Scheme supports farmers with tractor subsidies. Applicable to tractors ranging from 20 PTO HP to 40 PTO HP.

Farmers receive up to 50% subsidy on the total tractor cost under this scheme. Farmers can avail themselves of the subsidy by registering under the SMAM Scheme.

Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, small and marginal farmers, women, and North-Eastern state beneficiaries can enjoy a 50% subsidy.

Subsidy for Other Categories:

Other beneficiaries receive a 40% subsidy on tractor purchases, with a maximum limit of Rs 2 lakh. By participating in this initiative, farmers can significantly reduce the financial burden of acquiring tractors, promoting mechanization in agriculture.

Eligibility Criteria for Tractor Subsidy:

Below are the Eligibility Criteria:-

• Farmers applying for tractor subsidies must have an annual income not exceeding Rs 1.5 lakh.

• Subsidies on tractors are specifically targeted towards small and marginal farmers.

• Farmers seeking tractor subsidies must possess cultivable land.

• Only one member per family is eligible to receive the tractor subsidy.

• The farmland papers must be under the name of the applying farmer.

• Individuals who have previously benefited from this subsidy are not eligible for the scheme.

• Farmers who have not received tractor subsidies from any Central or State Government scheme in the past seven years are eligible to apply.

• Aadhaar Verification

• PAN card of the applying farmer

• Farmer's residence certificate

• Farmer's Income Certificate

• Copy of the bank passbook for accurate bank account details

• The farmer's mobile number is linked to Aadhaar
